Young women 17-24 years of age are eligible to compete for the title of Miss Louisiana (must be a high school graduate by June of 2016).
Each contestant will compete in 4 phases of competition: Personal Interview, Lifestyle and Fitness, Evening Gown, and Talent. Each contestant must also adopt a community service platform that she will be responsible for promoting if crowned Miss Greater Baton Rouge or Miss Capital City.
The Miss America organization has partnered with Children's Miracle Network to raise funds and awareness for children's hospitals throughout the United States. Contestants competing in Miss America-sponsored pageants are required to a minimum of $100 in donations for Children's Miracle Network and the Miss American Scholarship Fund.
